Planting & Care

1. Planting: In a location with full sunlight, dig a hole that’s at least two to three times wider than your Persian Spire™ Parrotia’s root ball. Once you’ve placed your tree, backfill its soil, tamp down to avoid air pockets, and lastly, water to help establish its roots. Note that this tree has a low canopy with a typical clearance of 1 foot from the ground, and should not be planted underneath power lines.

2. Watering: The Persian Spire™ Parrotia requires watering once per week while establishing and throughout the growing season.

3. Fertilizing: Fertilize the tree once a year in the spring with a balanced fertilizer.

4. Pruning: This tree requires little to no pruning. If desired, prune the tree in the late winter or early spring to remove any dead or damaged branches and to shape the tree.
