The Story

Cold-Hardy, Disease-Resistant Combo Apple Tree

With two delicious varieties, the 2-in-1 Fruit SnacksĀ® Columnar Apple Tree is twice as nice! This space-saving tree produces both Tasty Red and Sweet Treat apples, each of which are crisp, juicy, and full of flavor. This sun-loving specimen is a fast grower as well, so you won’t have to wait long to enjoy fruit from your own yard.

The perfect balance of sweet and tart, these apples are scrumptious when eaten right off the tree. They are also an excellent addition to baked goods, including pies, cobblers, and muffins. Tasty Red and Sweet Treat welcome spring with soft pink buds that give way to small white flowers, followed by bright red apples with green accents.Ā

With a narrow, columnar growth habit, 2-in-1 Fruit SnacksĀ® Columnar Apple Tree is one of the most compact fruit trees available. Measuring 8-10’ tall and just 3’ wide, it is an excellent choice for planting in groupings, adding to urban gardens, and placing in large containers. Grow yours today!

About Fruit SnacksĀ®: Fruit SnacksĀ® offers real fruit that's easy to enjoy. These compact, dwarf apple trees are perfect for small spaces, letting you pick fresh snacks right from your backyard. Plant two different trees, and the bees will do the rest. Ideal for pots or hedges, Fruit SnacksĀ® are scab-resistant, virus-free, and require no harsh chemicals.

Planting & Care

1. Planting: Select an area that receives at least 6 hours of sunlight per day. Once you've selected a location, dig a hole that's twice the width of the root ball and just as deep. Place your new tree, backfill the hole, and then mulch to preserve moisture. Finally, water to settle the roots.

For container planting, choose a pot with drainage holes that's about twice the width of your tree's shipped container. Use organic soil, place your tree, and backfill. Water to settle the roots after planting.

2. Watering: Water apple trees deeply and regularly, especially during dry spells, ensuring that the soil remains consistently moist but not waterlogged. Mulch around the base to retain moisture and promote optimal growth.

3. Fertilizing: Fertilize in early spring with a balanced, slow-release fertilizer according to package instructions. Repeat the application in late spring or early summer to support healthy growth.

4. Pruning: Once your tree has become established and is starting to bear fruit, it will need some periodic, moderate pruning. Only prune the tree during times of dormancy, making sure to remove any vigorous, upright stems and weak, damaged, or dead branches.

5. Pollination: 2-in-1 Fruit SnacksĀ® Columnar Apple Tree trees are self-pollinating. However, to achieve higher yields of fruit, you may want to plant another variety nearby. Below are the most effective pollinators we have chosen for your area:
